A couple of days ago I celebrated my birthday. I turned 35, but I am not like some people that feel shy about telling their real age, because I don't like to lie and also I because don't think there is anything wrong about getting older.
Some people are afraid of looking old and that is why they try so hard to maintain a young appearance. I like looking good of course, but I also think that little wrinkles and expression lines here and there are kind of cute, and reflect a little bit of your own temperament, the way you face life and also they add character to our faces, plus they are inevitable.
I have learn to love expression lines because all the habitual expressions you submit your face in a daily basis can reveal secrets about yourself. My dad for example, he has amazing long deep lines all around his mouth area and also on the forehead, and I think that is so beautiful because he is such a happy person, in fact, I have never seen my father getting angry in my life. Those deep lines, remind me how good it feels to know that he has enjoyed his life though laughs and smiles, and that at some point some of this lines were created because we laughed together.
I am attracted to people that smile and laugh a lot. A beautiful smile captivates me, it can be contagious and at the same time therapeutic. So when I see some smile lines on a person's face, I imagine that that person must have had so many wonderful days filled with love and laughter, it is a proof that that person has laugh through so many things in his life, good things and bad.
I think a smile is the shortest distance between two people, it can open you doors, it can make other people feel cared and loved, and is the best cover letter you can present into the world.
