Today is cooking day again!
I think I have said this before, I don't really like cooking, but once in a while I like to surprise my husband with something delicious, so today I am going to show you how to bake a yummy and very easy rustic tart with spinach and feta cheese, keep in mind that you can also add chicken, meat and veggies inside, because this is a very versatile and easy tart to make.
You can eat this anytime because it is delicious. We ate it at dinner the day I made it and the next morning I just put it back in the oven for 15 minutes and we ate it as breakfast with our cups of coffee and tea.

Creo que ya lo he dicho antes, realmente no me gusta cocinar, pero de vez en cuando me gusta sorprender a mi esposo con algo delicioso como esta tarta tan rica de espinacas y queso feta que les voy a enseñar a preparar a continuación.
A parte de espinaca y queso, también se le puede poner pollo, carne y vegetales ya que es una tarta super versátil y fácil de hacer.
Puedes comerte este rico plato a cualquier hora, mi esposo y yo la cenamos cuando la preparé y al dÃa siguiente pusimos el resto en el horno por 15 minutos nuevamente y nos la comimos de desayuno con nuestras tacitas de café y de te respectivamente.
AnÃmate a hacerla, estoy segura que te va a gustar.
- 7 sheets of phyllo dough 7 láminas de masa de philo
- 1 or 2 cups of spinach 1 o 2 tazas de espinaca
- 250g of feta cheese 250 g de queso feta
- 50g of gouda cheese 50 g de queso gouda
- 1/2 spoon of oregano 1/2 cucharada de oregano
- 1 table spoon of butter 1 cucharada de mantequilla
- Extra virgin olive oil Aceite de oliva extra virgen
- Nutmeg, salt and pepper Nuez moscada, sal y pimienta al gusto
Preheat the oven to 200 centigrades or 390 fahrenheit.
Cut a piece of parchment paper a little bigger that the sheets of phyllo and brush some extra virgin olive oil on top of it. Rumple and wrinkle the paper and open it up again. This will help us get the rustic texture we want.
Precalienta el horno a 200 grados centÃgrados o 390 fahrenheit.
Corta un papel encerado a un tamaño más grande de la masa de philo que se va a utilizar y untalo con aceite de oliva extra virgen.
A continuación, arruga el papel y estÃralo nuevamente para obtener la textura rústica que estamos buscando.
Spread out the phyllo dough on top of the parchment paper and brush some extra virgin olive oil on top of it, then add some salt and pepper.
Repeat this process. I used 7 sheets of phyllo but you can use as many as you want to make it crunchy.
Don't put salt and pepper on every layer of phyllo, it is best to alternate it to avoid having too much salt on the dough.
Extiende una lámina de philo sobre el papel encerado y úntala con aceite de oliva, luego agrégale un poco de sal y pimienta.
Sigue extendiendo capas de philo, yo utilicé solo 7 pero tu puedes utilizar más si gustas para hacerlo más crujiente.
Evita ponerle sal y pimienta a todas las capas de masa para que no te quede salado, es mejor alternar la sal y pimienta entre las capas.
In a clean bowl mix the 5 eggs with the crumbled feta and gouda cheeses, add the salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix it up until well combine.
In a frying pan add the butter and the freshly washed spinach. Cook for a couple of minutes until the spinach starts to shrink.
Add the spinach to the egg batter.
En un bol agrega los 5 huevos con los quesos feta y gouda desmenuzados. Luego agrega sal, pimienta y la nuez moscada. Mezcla bien.
En una sartén agrega la mantequilla y la espinaca, cocÃnala por unos minutos hasta que la espinaca comienza a encogerse.
Termina agregando la espinaca a la mezcla de los huevos.
In an oven resistant skillet add a little squirt of the olive oil and then add the sheets of phyllo with the parchment paper, on top of it add the egg and spinach batter and very carefully fold the edges of the phyllo dough and cover the egg batter.
Cook in the stove for 2 or 3 minutes and then put it inside the oven for 20 minutes.
Open the parchment paper and very carefully(don't burn yourself with the handle of the pan) take the tart out of the oven and enjoy it!
En una sartén resistente al calor vierte un chorrito de aceite de oliva y agrega las capas de masa de philo con el papel pergamino, sobre ellas agrega la mezcla de la espinaca y el huevo y cuidadosamente dobla los bordes sobresalidos de la masa y cúbrela.
Cocina en la estufa for 1 o 2 minutos y luego traspásala al horno por aproximadamente 20 minutos.
Abre el papel pergamino y cuidadosamente(no te quemes las manos con el mango del sartén) saca la tarta del horno y disfrútala.
