The other night my husband and I went to have some dinner at out favorite restaurant here in Bangalore. It is called Alto Vino and it is inside the Marriott Hotel in the Whitefield area.
I love Italian food, I guess it's got to be because my grandpa was Italian, so I still have some Italian roots inside my DNA, also a long time ago I lived in Milan for a year so Italy has a special place in my heart.
When my husband and I discovered Alto vino, we immediately loved it! Yes, it is that yummy good.
The food its so fresh and delicious that you want to come back for more.
Because it was Friday night I wanted to wear something pretty so I wore this beautiful midi skirt with red shoes and black accessories and you know what? I felt all night like a lady. There is something about midi skirts that reminded me of the 50s, and I love that era. Women dressed like ladies, they were so sexy and elegant without showing a lot of skin and that to me is the epitome of class and style.
We are currently living in very difficult times for us women, some of us feel the pressure to be perfect dolls and to follow everything the fashion industry dictates, whenever I go out to buy some clothes I am always amazed at the skimpiness of the clothes and it makes me sad to see that some women think they are worth it if they show their "assets".
We have forgotten that by leaving something to the imagination we protect our intimacy and our dignity.
La otra noche mi esposo y yo fuimos a cenar a nuestro restaurante favorito aqui en Bangalore. Se llama Alto vino y queda dentro del hotel Marriott en el area de Whitefield.
Amo la comida italiana, creo que es porque parte de mi familia es italiana, como mi abuelito y primos, así que aun hay un poco de esa parte Italiana en mi ADN, además hace mucho tiempo viví en Milano por un año, así que Italia tiene un lugar muy importante en mi corazón.
Cuando mi esposo y yo descubrimos Alto Vino, nos enamoramos de él inmediatamente. Si, es así de bueno. La comida es muy fresca y deliciosa que sientes la necesidad de regresar por más.
Como era viernes por la noche, quería vestirme bonita, así que me puse esta falda hermosa con unos tacones rojos y accesorios negros, y saben qué? Toda la noche me sentí como una muñequita. Hay algo en las faldas a la altura de la pantorrilla que me recuerdan mucho a los años 50, y esa es mi época favorita del mundo mundial. Las mujeres en ese entonces solían vestir como damas, eran muy elegantes sin perder su sex appeal eso para mi es el epítome de la clase y el estilo.
Actualmente vivimos en un tiempo donde algunas mujeres se sienten muy presionadas por lucir perfectas y lastimosamente piensan que mostrando más piel lo van a lograr. Cada vez que voy a comprar ropa me asombra ver como hay muchas cosas pequeñitas y demasiado provocativas.
Me entristece ver que algunas mujeres piensan que no son valiosas si no muestran piel.

A veces nos olvidamos que dejando un poquito las cosas a la imaginación protegemos nuestra intimidad y hasta cierto punto nuestra dignidad también.

Women that show a lot of skin will always have a hard time finding somebody that looks beyond the body.
I have always thought that those women that don't like to dress a little modest undervalue their own worth. It's like, they think they are defective merchandise so they have to sell themselves in a cheap way showing all of their attributes to the highest bidder, otherwise they could not get any attention from a man.
You should remember that you are worth it, and you deserve some respect from yourself and specially from everybody else.

Una mujer inteligente sabe que si quiere tener a su lado a un verdadero caballero en su vida ella tendrá que vestirse y comportarse como una dama. Y no estoy diciendo que te debas vestir como una monja, no. Lo que estoy diciendo es que no deberías de sentir la presión de vestirte como la moda lo dictamina para atraer miradas masculinas.
Las mujeres que muestran mucha piel siempre van a pasar un mal momento tratando de buscar a alguien que mire más allá del cuerpo.
Siempre he pensado que esas mujeres que odian vestirse un poco modestas subestiman su propia valía. Es como si creyeran que están defectuosas o que son mercancías que deben de venderse al precio más barato mostrando todos sus atributos porque de otra manera nadie las miraría.
Debemos recordar que valemos mucho, y que merecemos respeto de nosotras mismas y de las demás personas.
Tu eres mucho más que tu apariencia, recuerda que la modestia es una virtud muy valiosa, y tener un poquito de ella no hace daño.

You are not a mannequin, don't let others impose what you should be wearing, it's ok to show some skin but keep in mind that if you are showing your legs, your torso should be covered and viceversa.

No somos maniquíes, no dejemos que nadie nos imponga como debemos de ir vestidas porque está a la moda. Esta bien mostrar algo de piel pero hay que tener en cuenta que si se muestra el escote, las piernas deben de estar cubiertas y viceversa.
Vístanse como un regalo costoso porque ustedes no son cualquier objeto, son personas valiosas y únicas.
