Visiting Bangalore palace

This past weekend my husband and I had the opportunity to visit the palace here in Bangalore India. 
I love when I have the opportunity to get to know a little bit more about the culture and the way the people of the countries I visit used to live. 
Here in this palace used to live this Maharaja(Indian prince) called Chamarajendra Wadiyar, but now it is owned by the Mysore royal family.

Este pasado fin de semana mi esposo y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer el palacio de Bangalore aquí en India.
Disfruto mucho cuando tengo oportunidad de conocer un poco más acerca de la cultura y la forma en como los antepasados de los lugares que visito, solían vivir.
Aquí en este majestuoso lugar vivía un Maharajá(Gran príncipe) llamado Chamarajendra Wadiyar, pero ahora este lugar pertenece a la familia real de Mysore.

This beautiful palace was built in Tudor style architecture with beautiful and strong walls and fortified towers. As you can see, the decor inside is very intricate with elegant wood carvings made by hand, floral motifs and paintings in the ceiling. 
I was really impressed by the amazing architecture but I felt the palace needed a little cleaning and some small renovations, specially because it is not free, you have to pay if you wanna get inside and also if you are going to take pictures. 

When you get inside you immediately feel amazed by all the beautiful details you encounter everywhere, but then you get a little overwhelmed by the carelessness of the place, it is not in really bad condition, is just that being this amazing architectural building I imagined it would have been a little more clean and well polished. 
Overall, I think is a good idea to visit it and get to know more about this palace and the role that occupied in history. 


Este hermoso palacio fue inspirado en arquitectura estilo Tudor, con hermosas y fuertes paredes y torres fortificadas. Como se puede observar en las fotografías, la decoración es muy intrincada, lo puedes ver en los hermosos tallados en la madera que supongo fueron hechos a mano, los motivos florales y las pinturas en el techo.

Cuando entras inmediatamente te maravillas con los detalles que encuentras por todas partes, pero luego te empiezas  a sentir un poco abrumado por la falta de preocupación que hay en el lugar, no es que esté en pésimas condiciones, es solo que personalmente pienso que podría tener una mejor limpieza y cuidado en los interiores, especialmente porque la entrada no es gratuita y te cobran hasta por tomar fotos. 
En suma, el lugar es muy bonito y vale la pena visitarlo sobretodo para conocer un poco más acerca de la familia que lo habitó y el rol que ocupó en la historia.

Over the past few years, the palace grounds have been hosts to mayor artists like Aerosmith, David Guetta, Black eyed peas, Enrique Iglesias, etc.
Can you imagine assisting to one concert in there, it is got to be amazing.




En los ultimos años, los jardines del palacio han sido anfitriones de diversos artistas como Aerosmith, David Guetta, Black eyed peas, Enrique iglesias, etc.

Beautiful details everywhere! 

This is the "Sari room" here the Maharani used to keep all her dresses and saris.
This room is really big and It had beautiful carpets and mirrors. 
Women have always been obsessed with clothes!


Este es el cuarto de los saris. Aqui la Maharani solía guardar todos sus trajes y saris.
Este cuarto es grande y lleno de alfombras hermosas y espejos.
Como ven, desde siempre las mujeres hemos estado obsesionadas con la ropa!
