Stripes and pink!

I don't really like stripes, although I am pretty skinny, sometimes horizontal stripes can make my belly look like if I am 5 months preggers(I get bloated so easily!). So I always try to avoid them, but when I found this beautiful set with this big black and white stripes top and the beautiful pink midi skirt, I left all my fears aside and I decided to get it.
I guess in the end, we should not fear stripes, they can become friends and look beautiful specially if you mix them with bold colors, don't you think?
No soy muy amante de las rayas, aunque soy bastante delgada, algunas veces siento que las rayas horizontales hacen ver mi estómago como si estuviera embarazada de 5 meses(tiendo a hincharme muy seguido!).
Así que siempre trato de evitarlas, pero cuando encontré este lindo set con la blusa a rayas blancas y negras y la falda a media pierna dejé todos mis miedos a un lado y decidí darle una oportunidad.
Creo que al final, no deberíamos tenerle miedo a las rayas, pueden llegar a ser nuestras mejores amigas , en especial si las combinamos con colores fuertes, no les parece?
When I got this set I had to send it to the tailor because I ordered a big size, I decided to shorten a little bit the length of the skirt but I wanted to keep it below the knee (for some reason I am in love with midi skirts, I don't know why). The top was a little big as well but the solution was to grab a little bit from the sleeves to make it smaller.
I kept all the accessories simple, I just added some strappy black sandals and my lovely black purse from Aldo, but just to break a little bit from the same colors I added a necklace with blue, green and pink stones.
I love this outfit!
Cuando recibí este set tuve que enviarlo a la costurera porque lastimosamente había ordenado una talla muy grande. Decidí cortar un poco la largura de la falda pero al mismo tiempo quise dejarla debajo de la rodilla(por alguna extraña razón estoy enamorada de las faldas a la pantorrilla, no se por qué). La blusa también estaba un poquito grande pero la solución fue tomar un poco de tela de las mangas para acortarlas.
Mantuve todos los accesorios dentro de la misma gama de colores manteniendo la simpleza, solo agregué unas sandalias negras y mi cartera del mismo color, pero para romper un poco con los colores, decidí agregar un collar con piedras verdes, azules y rosadas y pienso que quedó muy bonito.
